Electronic reporting of data to the BOBST substitution register
Task
A system for the electronic transfer of encoded data to the substitution register at the Federal Opium Board (BOPST) was to be created in order to make the management of the datasets easier and safer for the substituting facilities and the register.
Challenge
For the data transfer via internet a safe digital identification of all parties involved in the substitution process had to be developed. The system was certified by the German Institute for Medical Documentation and Information (DIMDI) which belongs to the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Security (DIMDI).
Success
In 2005 the digital encoding of the data was put to the test. After function, safety and data transfer had been tested successfully, the BOPST approved the system. From then on, the users have been able to transfer patient registration and deregistration directly from MeDoSys to the electronic substitution register.
